* Barefoot Lagoon
For more than thirty years, whether for vacation or full time, it has been home to those who know it best.
It offers the peace and quiet you may be seeking. Many say it's "where life is good". If you like to walk beaches with few footprints, swim, sail, snorkel, dive, do nothing, or meet The World's finest neighbors, you'll find it and more at Cayman Kai.
Cayman Kai, is tucked away on the North Side of Grand Cayman, where it is removed from the hustle and
bustling crowds of the Seven Mile Beach areas, which is a 45-minute drive or a twenty minute ferry ride,
where the majority of the island's hotels and traffic exist. It covers 400 acres, and has more than six miles of
beach with very few footprints. It is low density, mostly private homes on half acre sites. It has the famous
Rum Point Beach, four restaurants- (Rum Point Club,  Kaibo Bar & Grill, Wreck Bar
& Grill,  and Over the Edge Bar & Restaurant) along with Red Sail Sports-Water
Sports Center, a grocery store nearby and some of the World's finest Neighbors. Ferry service is available
several times a day from Rum Point Beach and from the Kaibo, across The North Sound, to the faster paced
side of the island in the Seven Mile Beach area.

The Famous Rum Point Beach is located in Cayman Kai.

If you are looking for warm, languid afternoons spent sipping a Rum Punch after a
afternoon of swimming, snorkeling or just laying in a hammock doing nothing at the
Famous "Rum Point Beach", then maybe you might want to consider this.

Click on - It might take a few seconds to start.

The Kaibo Yacht Club is just 2 miles down the road (a short walk or bicycle ride) from Barefoot Lagoon and was completed in March, 1999 and its facilities are  a most welcome addition to the community and are within short walking or bicycle ride. Nested on the  sandy slopes of the North Sound of Cayman Kai, the Kaibo Yacht Club brings to Grand Cayman all the flavors of “Big Easy”. Know for its creative New Orleans and Caribbean style dishes, the Kaibo Yacht Club’s cuisine reflects the best of these two cuisines. The beautiful 2nd storey dining room, Cecil’s, offers both screened in and air conditioned seating, affording guests incredible views of the North Sound. Chef, Jerry Mixon, a native of New Orleans, has creatively combined traditional New Orleans and Caribbean cuisines to produce a an exciting new menu. The wine list has also been revised to pair up nicely with the new menu selections. Experience the natural surroundings and a slower paced lifestyle: enjoy the feeling and flavor of Louisiana captured at the Kaibo Yacht Club.

The Staff & Management at the Kaibo is happy to welcome you. The Beach Bar opens at 11 am, 7 days a week Cecil’s Restaurant opens at 6 pm. Ferry service, the Kaibo Express, departs from Safehaven and brings guest across the Sound in air-conditioned  comfort -in about 15 minutes. Cecil Restaurant offers our guests incredible views of the North Sound. Some of their favorites are Mississippi Mud Pie, Chocolate Pecan Pie, Island Rum Carrot Cake and Praline Crème Brule. The beach bar and restaurant serves appetizers, soups, salads and Po-Boy Sandwiches. Enjoy a refreshing beverage, great food and good music. Water sports and volleyball  round out the Kaibo’s attractions -there’s always good times and good friends at the Kaibo, so - "Let the Good Times Roll!"
